Arturo Scamardella is a passionate Italian sommelier with over a decade of experience, currently enhancing the dining experience at Dinner by Heston Blumenthal in Dubai. His journey in wine began in childhood, making wine with his family. In London, he served as Deputy Head Sommelier at the Ritz and worked with renowned hospitality groups. Arturo's unique approach to wine focuses on storytelling, believing each bottle has its own narrative. He collaborates with Chef Tom Allen to pair wines with the menu, significantly boosting the restaurant's revenue. Arturo has also innovated non-alcoholic wines inspired by ancient Roman practices, contributing to a diverse beverage selection. His efforts have earned recognition, with Dinner by Heston Blumenthal receiving the Wine Offering of the Year award and Arturo himself winning the Michelin Guide Dubai’s Sommelier Award in 2023.
