Restaurant Dinner by Heston Blumenthal

Chef Heston Blumenthal is generally regarded as the ambassador of scientific approach to cooking food. All the world’s chefs owe him the idea of savory ice cream. Plus, he does an excellent job of reengineering medieval recipes, making them contemporary: the chef’s collection has recipes from as far back as the 14th century.
Visiting Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, open in Atlantis the Royal hotel, you can imagine yourself in medieval Britain. One of Blumenthal’s signature dishes prepared here is called Meat Fruit: it looks like a mandarin orange but hides chicken liver mousse with foie gras. The chef created it at the London branch of the Dinner, especially for Queen Elizabeth II’s visit. Today, Blumenthal’s restaurants serve more than 1,500 Meat Fruits a week. Such legends are attached to each dish on the menu, and the staff are happy to share them with the guests.
