Chef Yannis Sgard is the Head Chef at Eugène Eugène, located in the Kempinski Hotel at the Mall of the Emirates. With a culinary journey starting in Paris in 2010, he honed his skills at renowned establishments like Café de la Paix and Le Bristol before joining the iconic Lasserre. He then spent five years with Christian Le Squer at Le Cinq, followed by a stint at Al Muntaha in the Burj Al Arab. In 2023, he became the Head Chef at Eugène Eugène. Raised in a family of food enthusiasts, Chef Sgard's passion for cooking was cultivated from a young age. Inspired by his father's cooking and his brother's success as a three-starred chef in Paris, he chose Dubai for its dynamic culinary scene. Eugène Eugène, with its unique architecture reminiscent of French markets, offers a modern French brasserie experience amidst lush greenery. When not cooking professionally, Chef Sgard enjoys preparing simple dishes like spaghetti arrabbiata at home. For aspiring chefs, Chef Sgard advises setting goals and constantly pushing boundaries.
