City Cafe Arabian Fish House

This is a classic Middle Eastern fish house, a project by a restaurant group led by the prominent businessman and philanthropist Ali Mohammed Alrais. In the late 1990s, he founded the premier Emirati restaurant chain, Arabian Tea House, which serves traditional Arabic cuisine.

It is one of the best establishments in the historic Al Bastakiya neighborhood, offering a wonderful view of Dubai Creek, pleasant simplicity without excessive refinement, and an excellent selection of dishes made from local fish and seafood. The menu features everything from the fabulously delicious fried Bazri fish with tahini sauce and the local legend, grilled Safi fish, to the impeccable sea bass fish and chips. The menu is extensive, the service is outstanding, and on weekends and at night, the place is bustling.
